1·If he presents himself as one with standards or commandments, then he is part of the problem, not part of the solution.

5·Look also at the previous two verses: "and hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments."

1·And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
