伊朗称摧毁3架F35战机

Iran's paramilitary Revolutionary Guards Corps claimed Thursday to have killed "a number" of U.S. personnel with a strike on the Al-Azraq Air Base in eastern Jordan, which the force said also destroyed three F-35 fighter jets.

A statement published by Sepah News, the official outlet of the IRGC, claimed the force's aerospace unit had "attacked the deployment ramp and maintenance shed of the American enemy F-35 fighter jets at the Al-Azraq Air Base with several ballistic missiles, completely destroying three F-35 aircraft" and damaging three others.

The IRGC said the attack was retaliation for the U.S. killing three members of a family, including a child, on Iran's Qeshm Island, in the Strait of Hormuz, with recent strikes.

The IRGC and Iranian state media often greatly exaggerate battlefield successes, and there was no immediate confirmation from the U.S. military of an Iranian attack hitting a base housing American forces in Jordan on Thursday.

An Iranian attack on another facility, the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in southern Jordan, killed three U.S. soldiers in mid-July, and Iran has targeted American forces in Jordan relentlessly since then.
